Alex Willis Story of Recovery and Redemption

Alex Willis Story of Recovery and Redemption

Graduate Update: Alex Willis

Alex Willis found himself in jail, battling addiction, facing a possible 12-year prison sentence, and grieving the sudden loss of his mother—his last remaining source of support. On what he describes as “the worst, best day” of his life, Alex surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.

Although his circumstances did not change overnight, God began transforming his heart. As Alex grew in his faith, his outlook changed, his prison sentence was reduced, and he entered Great Lakes Adult & Teen Challenge to continue his journey of recovery and restoration.

During the program, God healed deep emotional wounds, restored his relationship with his sister, and revealed a new purpose for his life. After graduating, Alex felt called to serve at Brooklyn Adult & Teen Challenge, the ministry founded by David Wilkerson.

Since then, Alex has earned his college degree, married, welcomed his son Leonidas, and now serves alongside his wife in ministry.
